Schiltach wants to give more than it takes — in energy, nature and community — and show that progress and care belong together. The design had to be historic and modern at once: clear, with a playful note, and clearly linked to the town's existing official brand book.Schiltach soll mehr geben, als es nimmt — in Energie, Natur und sozialem Miteinander — und zeigen, dass Fortschritt und Fürsorge sich ergänzen. Das Design sollte historisch und modern zugleich sein: klar, mit einer verspielten Note, und mit deutlichem Verweis auf das bestehende offizielle Markenbuch der Stadt.
The official Schiltach mark and its shield are the starting point. In PLUS, the shield turns into the letter U — and the plus sign into a cross. Variants work in red on white and white on red, with and without the timber-frame roof and the "im Schwarzwald" line.Ausgangspunkt sind das offizielle Schiltach-Logo und sein Wappen. In PLUS wird das Wappen zum Buchstaben U — und das Pluszeichen zum Kreuz. Die Varianten funktionieren rot auf weiß und weiß auf rot, mit und ohne Fachwerkdach und die Zeile „im Schwarzwald“.
